According to the data from Statistics Korea on February 10th, the unemployment rate of Busan is 6%, which is the highest in 20 years. To overcome this crisis, Busan promised age-specifically customized jobs for young and old people. For the disabled and women, there will be public jobs. Young people who are seeking jobs can get help from the DoDream Center which is run by Busan and the Job Centers from each university. The support to these institutions will get bigger. For young people who have not gotten a job yet can get “a Youth Didimdol Card” that supports three million won. Young citizens can use this money for their education, certificates, and so on. Also, there is “Dream Wardrobe,” a service lending suits for interviews and an employment network among universities. Young people who are in the process of finding employment will be able to get money for their proper purposes. Also, about 34.6 billion won, and 1,900 people will be supported from about 70 businesses that induce settlement in Busan. Also, the young people who have their jobs in smaller and medium-sized enterprises can use “the Working Joy Card” that supports one million won. Additionally, young people who commute to industrial complexes that are difficult to get to via public transportation will be able to borrow electric vehicles. Finally, Busan will make a social venture hub center and support local creators for the young people who are going to start their own businesses.

An officer of Busan said that “We will also promote high value-added businesses such as Blockchain, Internet of Things, and tourism. Also, we will try to move government offices and good companies to Busan. We will lead young people to settle down in Busan and strengthen the industrial competitiveness of our city.”
