Middle school students can learn about law by experiencing it.

On May 10th, the Ministry of Government Legislation announced that 19 middle schools are designated as youth law control schools that provide legislative experience activities for students. Saha-Middle School has been selected in Busan and activities are underway.

Youth law control school serves as a stepping-stone by creating a school culture that cares about personality as a democratic citizen by cultivating students' law-abiding spirit. It is aimed to eradicate school violence and further cultivate the importance of social norms. The Ministry of Legislation provides basic legislative education to students at youth law control schools for a year to learn about laws and rules. Based on this, students are provided with various legislative experience activities such as making their own school rules and solving legal quizzes.

Since mid-May, basic legal education for each school has been conducted on the significance of statutes and legislative procedures at the level of middle school students. Afterwards, there will be a legal debate from July to August, a golden bell in August and September, a school rule making contest from October to November, and a career exploration meeting in December. At Saha-Middle School, after the guidance teacher's education in May, the activities of the tutors in charge of these activities and students will proceed in earnest from June.

Jung Woo-Chul (Life Council Organization, Saha-Middle School) said, "I think these activities can be a good opportunity for teenagers who are interested in rules and laws and want to have a career related to law. Many students applied for activities of their own will, and I hope that students who want to pursue these careers will have a good experience and it will be a big step toward the future."
