The BIFF is recruiting this year’s youth planning group who can organize the festival based on their cultural interests.

The Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) will recruit a youth planning group to participate in Community BIFF by May 10th. By directly designing the events of Community BIFF, a cultural association platform led by audiences, it is expected to strengthen the diversity of culture and guide the youth-led culture.

Community BIFF receives its fifth anniversary this year. It is a cultural festival created in the original downtown area of Busan, where the BIFF is held. To breathe deeply with the audience and combine with the society as an authentic platform for the audience to plan the festival themselves, Community BIFF launched a youth planning team in 2020.

Community BIFF youth planning team is a group of young planners from all across the country. They will participate in programs, monitor them during the event, and run exhibition events. They also promote Community BIFF events.

The youth planning team started in 2020 and presented a fresh attempt to communicate with the director, after predicting the ending of the movies. Also, last year, it held a movie screening and event under the theme “Friends” from the perspectives of young people.

People between the ages of 19 to 34 interested in cultural art can apply to the planning group. The exact reception method is posted on the Community BIFF website. After the selection, the period of activity starts in June and ends in October, which is the date BIFF is being held. It is possible to promote and manage events and plan interesting areas such as movies, dance, design, fashion, and music.

Meanwhile, the 2022 Busan International Film Festival Community BIFF opens from October 6th to October 13th in the Busan Jung-gu Nampo-dong original downtown area. Community BIFF, the audience-led festival, does not simply finish only by showing a movie, but also creates a space where the audience and movie professionals can communicate. At the same time, it is expected that participants will enjoy various contents and gain new cultural experiences.
