Pusan National University (PNU) will hold lectures related to representative battles in history, from the Japanese invasion of Korea to cyberspace.

On September 19th, PNU Museum announced that the 2022 PNU Museum Citizen’s Humanities Lecture would be held every Wednesday from October 5th to November 9th at the Museum Audiovisual Education Room on the theme of “Only One Battleground, Only One Battle, Dominating the Battleground.”

These lectures were prepared for one of the “2022 National University Development Projects” that PNU would introduce. The subject is about the main battles in Korean history. PNU Museum organized lectures to remind us of the meaning of peace since the issues of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The lectures are comprised of well-known battles such as the Battle of Myeongnyang to the most modern societal problem, hacking. They consist of six titles: Beyond an impregnable fortress, Siege Assault (The Siege of Dongrae), Blood and Flesh Flow like Rivers, field battle (The Battle of Manryeong), Getting Along With Birds and Waves, naval battle (The Battle of Myeongnyang), Appear and Disappear like a Ghost, guerilla war (Volunteers against the Japanese invasion of Korea), Win With Heart and a Blind Eye, psychological warfare (Leaflets), Dealing with Reality in a Virtual Space (Haking-DDoS). Participants can register on a first-come, first-served basis by September 30th through e-mail, as posted on the PNU Museum announcement.

According to a press release, Kim Doo-Chul (Director, PNU Museum) said, “It would be a good chance to look back on the strong spirit and mind that our ancestors had fought to defend our country to preserve peace.”
