Prof. Cho came out with the third lecture of the extra-curriculum “My Youth with Global Universities,” where PNU professors who studied abroad shared their experiences to PNU students. “My Youth with Global Universities” is a program that PNU liberal arts education center conducts for undergraduate PNU students. It was held to inform students about the experiences and culture of the time from a total of 10 PNU professors who have studied overseas.

Prof. Cho spoke of financial difficulties, which is an essential part of studying abroad. She said, “At the time of studying overseas, there were many systems to international students in Beijing such as scholarships every year and scholarships for excellent grades supported by Peking University. That’s why I decided to go abroad, thanks to that system.”

Furthermore, she mentioned the viewpoint of the study. She said, “When I thought of studying as “my own duty to do,” it made me feel tough. Seeing the study as a phase of digging into my curious fields, it became an interesting one of which I found new notions.” She advised students to diversify their ideas.

Currently, three lectures were released about the State University of New York (Kim Tae-Ho, Prof. Language & Information), Georgia Institute of Technology (Kim Song-Gil, Prof. Mechanical Engineering), and Peking University (Cho-Won, Prof. History). A new lecture will be out every Monday until December 4th as follows: Université Paris-VIII (Lee Song-Yi, Prof. French Language & Literature), Harvard University (Chae-Han, Prof. Korean Medicine), the University of Tokyo (Han Jeong-Sun, Prof. Japanese Language & Literature), University of Cambridge (Jang Kyung-Chul, Prof. English Language & Literature), Columbia University in the City of New York (Nam Jae-Hyun, Prof. Social Welfare), the University of Auckland (Hyun Jae-Kyung, Prof. Convergence Medical Sciences), and University of Florida (Jung Yeong-Mi, Prof. Biological Sciences).
