The election campaign for the 55th General Student Council (GSC) of Pusan National University (PNU) has earnestly begun.

The one election campaign headquarters, “Shall:We,” running for the GSC election, campaigned at the Liberty Yard on November 23rd, signaling the start of the election campaign in earnest. “Shall:We” consisted of Kim Yo-Seop (Dept. of Korean Language Education, 20) as GSC president candidate and Lee Jun-Ho (Dept. of Education, 19) as GSC vice-president candidate.

During the election campaign, “Shall:We” presented campaign pledges such as improving the circular bus and easing the upper limit of grades to retake the course. Candidate Kim said, “Circular buses are always full when classes are concentrated, so we will improve the environment of using circular buses by increasing the number of circular buses and modifying their routes.” Candidate Lee said, “COVID-19 has led to grade inflation as most universities in Seoul reorganized their grade evaluation system. We will ease the current upper limit of grade to retake the course from B+ to A0.”

Starting on November 23rd, the election campaign will continue at the Natural Science Building three-way intersection at 12 PM on November 24th, and November 30th, and at the Liberty Yard at 12 PM on December 1st.

“Shall:We” will hold a public policy hearing at the Seonghak Hall Room 101 at 7 PM on November 29th to talk about five areas of pledges, which are welfare, culture, autonomy, education, and communication. The vote will proceed for three days, from 9 AM on December 5th to 7 PM on December 7th. The results of the election can be found on the “Channel PNU” website immediately after the vote counting.
