Last April, PNU Yangsan Campus Student Council had a record of taking festival fees, but the usage and collection details are unknown until now.

The whereabouts of the event fees collected by the Pusan National University (PNU) Yangsan Campus Student Council in April in the name of participation are unknown. With the amount collected and the place of use unclear, the audit committee of PNU is considering implementing a temporary audit for the student association of Yangsan Campus since the audit in the first half of the year is completed.

According to the coverage of “Channel PNU” on August 1st, two (College of Nursing and College of Medicine) of the five student councils (College of Nursing, College of Medicine, Biomedical Convergence Engineering School, School of Dentistry and, School of Korean Medicine) of Yangsan Campus avoided disciplinary action during the audit. In April, the Yangsan Campus Student Council collected 5,000 won per person for the festival, Haenglim-Je (Reported on April 29th by “Channel PNU”).

In the "2022 First Half Audit" held from July 3rd to August 1st, the College of Medicine scored 97 points for non-compliance (-3 points) during the data submission period. The College of Nursing scored 75 points for non-submission of detailed settlement plans (-10 points) and lack of evidence (-15 points). According to the “PNU General Student Council Audit Implementation Regulations” (Referred to as the detailed rules), the audit committee can take disciplinary action against organizations with less than 70 points.

The audit committee failed to confirm the route through which the administrative system's event cost flowed and the collection's details and usage. Yu Bo-Hyung (Dept. of Media & Communication, 17), the chairman of the 1st Audit Committee, said, "There were no additional points to deduct from the audit committee. According to the detailed rules, the audit targets were limited to student council accounts. So other parts were not reflected." Student president of the College of Humanities, Mun Yeon-Ji (Dept. of Philosophy, 17), who conducted the audit of the College of Nursing, also said, "We only audited the student council's account. We could not find any details of collecting the event fees."

The audit committee is having difficulty figuring out the facts about the expenses for the administrative system. Chairman Yu said, "The Yangsan Campus Student Council is sensitive to dealing with the issue at the Audit Committee and the General Academic Emergency Committee. It comes out uncooperative because it is Yangsan Cam's job. It is hard to confirm how and what unit led the system. The Yangsan Campus Student Council is also an affiliate of the student councils so that the audit committee will respond according to the detailed rules."

The audit committee has held several meetings since August 11st to consider implementing a temporary audit of the Yangsan Campus Student Council. Yu said, "Since the event cost of the Haenglim-Jae is related to the entire campus, we will hold a meeting for the entire Yangsan Cam Student Council. I think we can tell you more details after the meeting."

Meanwhile, “Channel PNU” tried to contact Yangsan Campus Student Councils several times to hear the explanation. But it wasn’t easy to reach them directly. The student council president of the College of Medicine has responded in silence after delivering only the words "I will answer after the meeting." to the interview request of “Channel PNU.”
